A washing machine full of water at the end of a cycle is frustrating. Here are the usual causes.
Blocked drain filter
Coins, hair and lint collect in the pump filter. Many front-loaders have an access panel at the bottom front.
Kinked or blocked drain hose
Check that the hose is not bent behind the machine and is free of blockages.
Faulty drain pump
If you hear humming but no water moves, the pump may be jammed or burnt out.
Control board or lid switch problems
Electronic faults can stop the drain cycle from starting.
Safety first: unplug the machine before checking anything. If the problem continues, Blue Gate can repair it at your home.
